At 15:17 Box 8-01 was struck for an MVA W/Injuries in the 200blk of west Penn Ave. Rescue 5 arrived to find a minor mva with fluids down and no injuries. Crews applied speed dry. While in the clearing stages Engine 5 was alerted to respond to Lebanon City Sta 1 to standby while city crews worked a Haz-mat incident. E-5 Transferred with 8 Personal. While in Lebanon City E-5 was dispatched to an MVA but canceled prior to arriving. Co 5 was out for about 2.5hrs.
Box alarm 5-01 was struck in the early morning hours for an mva at King St and Queen St. Rescue 5 arrived and found a truck into another pole. Crews preformed basic vehicle op's and patient care. Crews were out for 35 Min. On a side note this is the 6th mva involving a pole that had to be replaced in the last 4 days.
Rescue 5 was dispatched to assist Dauphin Co#48 "Hershey" with smoke in a high rise bldg at 215 West Chocolate Ave. Rescue 5 staged and was released a short time after arriving. Cause was found to be food on the stove. Co 5 was out for about 45min
Box 3-06 (Lawn) was dispatched for an mva w/rollover on RT 117 a few miles from Mount Wilson Rd. Rescue 5 assisted with basic vehicle op's and patient care. The rescue was out for about 1 hour.
At 09:55 while the crews were trying to dry off Box alarm 6-02 was struck for an MVA in the 200blk of Clearsprings Rd for a vehicle into a pole. Rescue 5 arrived to find the 2nd downed pole of the day with all occupants out and not injured. Crews preformed basic vehicle op's and returned to quarters a short time later.
At 08:40 while crews were trying to get breakfast Box alarm 1-02 was hit for a poss structure fire with the Truck being out of service the Rescue and Engine responded. Rescue 5 arrived with Wagon 1 and assisted with interior investigation. Alarm was found to be dust from home improvements.
At 07:29 hrs as crews were cleaning up from the 1st MVA Box alarm 5-01 was dispatched for the MVA w/Poss. entrapment in the 600blk of east main st. Asst 5 "Leininger" arrived to find a van into a utility pole with Neg entrapment. Crews performed basic Vehicle op's. Co #5 was out for 25min.
At 06:00 hrs Box alarm 5-04 was struck for Rt 241 and Old Mount Gretna Rd for an MVA w/Possible entrapment. Chief 5 "Ox" arrived to find a Utility pickup truck over the embankment with 2 injuries Neg entrapment, however the two injured subjects were on the opposite side of the creek. Crews deployed ladders across the creek to extricate the subjects. Crews Preformed basic vehicle op's. Co #5 was out for about an hour. Thanks to FF/EMT J. Blandford from Palmyra Fire for the Assist.
This morning Engine 5 was dispatched to assist Co#1 (Palmyra) with a trash compactor fire at Lowe's. Engine 5 crews assisted Wagon 1 then returned. Pictures Provided By PALMYRA FIRE
