Wildfire in 7 Land

Wed, Jun 30th, 2010 2:21:00 pm - This afternoon the Engine and Rescue were hit out for additional units that were needed on a brush fire in the 7-03. Approximately 2 acres had burned at time of dispatch with the afternoon winds pushing the fire. The crews upon arriving on scene were advised to assist with extinguishment and overhaul along with Attack 47. Crews managed to stop the fire before it reached some piles of hay. Tanker 6-1 was brought in the to deluge the remaining area soaking it heavily to prevent any flare ups. After all companys were satisfied with the end result the box was placed in service. Company 5 was out for about an hour.
